Here at Lake Orion Family Dentistry, we like to know about the most up-to-date technologies and techniques, so that we can give you the best dental care possible. I’m Dr. Brad Greenfield, and I recently attended a continuing education seminar in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The seminar was hosted by Biomet 3i, and was about Biochemical and Aesthetic Considerations for Achieving Predictable Success with Immediate Loading. With new advances in technology and dental training, the standards for implant placement and aesthetic demands are rising.
I attended this course to learn how to implement new techniques for case selection and use of CT scans in treatment planning. I also wanted to gain a new understanding of biochemical and aesthetic considerations for achieving appropriate primary stability, as well as implant selection and abutment selection.
I really enjoyed this conference, and I am excited to implement these techniques into the care I give my patients. I learned about meeting aesthetic demands and that increasing productivity can be achieved with the Encode Impression System. Due to technology developed at Biomet 3i, a simple impression of Encode Healing Abutment replaces the need for an implant-level impression.
I even got a chance to show off a little Lake Orion pride while touring the factory that builds the Encode devices. The robots that build these devices are manufactured in Flint, not too far from my office!
For more information about the new technology at our office, please give us a call at (248) 693-6213. My team and I will be happy to fill you in!
