Question: Will you see my teenager or is children’s dentistry only for very young children?
Answer: Our children’s dentistry visits are for children of all ages! Whether you have a little one, a teen, or a child who is just entering adulthood, please schedule a visit to see us. We love treating the whole family for preventive, restorative, and additional dental needs.
Question: My child has some anxiety regarding dental care – I’m doing my best to make the experience relaxing. Do you offer sedation for children in addition to adults?
Answer: Within children’s dentistry, we offer nitrous oxide. This gentle yet wonderfully effective sedative will allow your child to feel completely relaxed, while learning that dental care is anything by scary. In most cases, we provide sedation for restorative treatments (like fillings).
Question: When should I first bring my child in and then how often should I continue scheduling visits for preventive care after that initial appointment?
Answer: We like to see your child by the age of one. After that visit – or for children who have already been receiving dental care – we suggest you schedule time to come in every six months, so your child enjoys two visits per year.
