You may need to take a quick trip out to Clarkston to see some exceptional artwork. Documenting her time on Belle Isle at the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory – a place she loved since childhood – Amy Lockard took photographs of the changes that took place there over a ten year period. She finds it an imaginative place and displays its rehabilitation within her photographs. Take a look and see if you find it imaginative, too.

The event is an opening reception for the exhibit of photos taken by Amy Lockard, a former photojournalist. You can look at photos of the conservatory and surrounding architecture and plant life, noting the beauty and the changes that took place over the course of a decade.
