If you’ve lived in Lake Orion, MI for even the shortest amount of time, you know about the time honored tradition that makes up this year’s 2018 Dragon On The Lake event! Did you know that it takes its origins from an old legend in which a dragon was seen at Lake Orion back in the late 1800s (followed by additional sightings)? While we don’t expect to see any dragons this year, we certainly expect a good time to be had by all!
What Is This Event?
2018 Dragon On The Lake is a family-friendly festival includes everything from the Dragon On The Run 5K to a cornhole tournament, chalk art, dancing, boat races, a kid zone, delicious food, and even a dazzling boat parade. Check out the event calendar here.
When Will It Take Place?
The 2018 Dragon On The Lake event will be taking place from August 23rd through August 26th, 2018 during the following hours:
- Friday: 6:00pm to 9:00pm
- Saturday: 7:30am to 8:00pm
- Sunday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
Where Is It Being Held?
The festival will be held at the Orion Art Center and surrounding area. Find the art center here:
